The attendees will include Indian and Asian physicians, scientists, researchers, sexuality educators, nurses, university and medical students, religious leaders, healthcare workers, government officials, journalists, allied health professionals, science teachers, AIDS workers, sexuality educators, and any other professionals with an interest in providing and administering sexuality education and comprehensive health care education. |
This will be the first international conference on this topic in Asia and the fifth major conference on sexuality on the subcontinent over the last twenty years following the 7th World Congress of Sexology and 1st World Conference on Orgasm, the 3rd Asian Congress on Sexology in New Delhi and the Asian and Pacific Conference on Sexology in Bombay. However, whereas these prior conferences were devoted to research presentations for other scholars in the field of sexuality, the current meeting will focus on sexuality education for a far broader audience. It will be the first to be held in Hyderabad, centrally located and the newest center of Internet growth in India. Rather than being AIDS and disease focused, this Congress will be concentrated on presenting a broad spectrum of current knowledge and will be sex positive with a particular interest in the potential of the world wide web as an educational platform. |
